The Process Bundle

from $55.00

This exciting 3 - 12oz bag bundle offers a fun and unique way to explore the three main coffee processes: Washed, Natural, and Honey (aka Semi-washed).

What’s the difference?

Washed - The ripe coffee cherries are picked, pulped, and washed with water to reveal the inner seed (aka the coffee bean!). This process produces a clean, balanced, and predictable cup. A majority of the coffees you might encounter are processed this way.

Our Washed Offering: Guatemala Huehuetenango

Natural - The ripe coffee cherries are picked and left to sun-dry, intact on the coffee bean. The entire dried cherry is then stripped off, resulting in a coffee that’s complex in flavor, often leaning fruit-forward.

Our Natural Offering: Ethiopia Guji

Honey - The honey or semi-washed process is almost a hybrid of the other two: the ripe cherry is picked, the skin and outer membrane of the cherry is stripped but the inner mucilage is left on the bean. Although no actual honey is involved, this process produces a golden, honey-like syrup on the coffee as it dried and ferments, giving the process its name. The natural sugars produced give the ending cup a fuller body and intriguing flavor.

Our Honey Offering: Colombia Aponte Village
